--->Moisture/Waterproof Gypsum Board
Waterproof gypsum board, also known as green board or moisture-proof gypsum board, is a type of dry wall specifically designed for moisture-proof purposes. It is usually used in areas with moisture, such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and basements.
The core of waterproof gypsum board is made of the same material as ordinary gypsum board, but both sides are covered with a layer of moisture-proof paper. This type of paper is specially treated to prevent water from seeping into the cardboard and causing damage.
Waterproof gypsum board is not completely waterproof, but its design can be waterproof and moisture-proof for a certain period of time, which can be properly cleaned and prevent mold growth. It should be noted that waterproof gypsum boards are not suitable for areas directly exposed to water, such as showers or saunas.
Waterproof gypsum boards come in various sizes and thicknesses, and can be cut and installed like regular gypsum boards. Installation should be carried out using the same techniques and tools as regular dry walls, but special attention should be paid to ensuring that all joints and edges are properly sealed to prevent moisture penetration.
