--->Moisture/Waterproof Gypsum Board
Water-resistant gypsum board, also known as green board or moisture-resistant gypsum board, is a building material used for walls and ceilings in areas where moisture is likely to be present, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms.
Water-resistant gypsum board is made by adding a layer of moisture-resistant material to the core of standard gypsum board during the manufacturing process. This moisture-resistant material is typically a fiberglass mat or a specially treated paper facing.
Water-resistant gypsum board is designed to resist the growth of mold and mildew and can withstand exposure to moisture without deteriorating. However, it is not designed to be completely waterproof and should not be used in areas that will be in direct contact with water, such as shower stalls.
